Bramley
Why live in Bramley?
Bramley is a vibrant and characterful village, flanked by rolling countryside, yet within easy reach of the larger towns of Guildford and Godalming. High street businesses include two pubs, coffee shops, travel agency, electrical retailers, two small supermarkets and a greengrocers.
To the south-west of the village, Snowdenham Lane weaves up towards the tiny hamlet of Thorncombe Street and the glorious countryside of the Surrey Hills AONB.
Bramley has a cricket pitch on the village green where, in 1745, the first all-women's cricket match was played.
Transport
Guildford station is just over 3 miles away, while branch services operate from Shalford. The A281 between Guildford and Horsham runs through the village, so there are numerous bus services between the two towns.
Schools
Bramley CofE Infant and Nursery School has an excellent reputation. The nearest primary school is Tillingbourne Junior in Chilworth. Bramley is also home to St Catherine’s School, a long established independent school for girls, and there are several private options in the vicinity, from Cranleigh School to Tormead School (girls) and Royal Grammar School (boys) in Guildford.
