Set in the Surrey Hills AONB within easy reach of Guildford, Chilworth is a popular village with a mix of properties, from Victorian semis to bungalows and detached family homes. Many have picturesque views across the Tillingbourne Valley to St Martha’s Hill. Chilworth’s historic Gunpowder Mills (supplier of gunpowder to King Charles I in first half of the 17th century) is a scheduled ancient monument in a woodland setting.
Chilworth has gastro-pub The Percy Arms, a vineyard (Chilworth Manor Vineyard), a village shop and a recreation ground with a sports pavilion, used for football.
Transport
Chilworth Station is on the North Downs Line, while Guildford – with fast services into London Waterloo – is a short drive away.
