Why live in Peaslake?
If you’re a mountain biker, this tiny village is the place to be. Nestled at the base of Holmbury and Pitch Hills in the heart of the Surrey Hills AONB, there are miles of mountain bike trails to ride. The Hurtwood also provides some 600 acres of woodland for walking and horse riding. Peaslake village is very picturesque and has a local shop and deli, The Peaslake Stores that also houses the Post Office. The Hurtwood Inn is a well regarded family run hotel, restaurant and bar that has been at the hub of village life for more than 100 years, while the memorial hall is used regularly by the local amateur dramatic society, badminton club and WI.
Transport
Buses run from Guildford to Cranleigh via Peaslake. The nearest train station is in Gomshall.
Schools
Peaslake Free School is the local primary; Duke of Kent, Hurtwood House and Belmont School are nearby independents.
