Ellens Green is a tiny hamlet next to Rudgwick on the Surrey/Sussex border, with a smattering of properties and farms and the 17th-century Chequers Inn just round the corner in Rowhook, a gastropub featuring in both AA and Michelin guides. There is a village hall with and small play park just off the green and easy access to wonderful countryside walks including the Surrey/Sussex border path leading to the Downs link.
Transport
There are buses to/from Guildford and Horsham via Ewhurst/Cranleigh. Mainline trains to London are available in nearby Ockley (5 miles), Horsham (8 miles) or Guildford (13 miles).
Schools
Rudgwick Primary School is nearby, as is independent prep schools Pennthorpe and Farlington. The Weald is a well thought-of secondary in Billingshurst and there are many private schools in the area.
