There is a definite buzz as you step onto the High Street in Cranleigh from our offices at the moment! And for good reason – there is lots happening and there is an air of excitement for the good things coming soon too!
The Manns Development has seen the opening of a new shop Togs Boutique which has certainly been a big hit so far with what seems a constant stream of shoppers. And with the much-anticipated opening of Joanna’s Boutique Tea Room next door as well, we can’t wait to pay a visit!
Behind these stores is the stunning Manns Development of retirement properties which are selling very well, with many reserved already. Each development has a free car park and beautifully landscaped gardens which are maintained on your behalf. Some apartments also feature balconies or patio areas providing the perfect outside living space. With the show home now open – please don’t hesitate to booking your visit there with us today.
We were delighted to hear that Cranleigh Arts Centre has been recognised recently by Muddy Stilettos as best Arts, Culture & Theatre Venue in Surrey. It is well worth that accolade and we are once again supporting the arts in a number of ways, firstly with our sponsorship of “An Evening with Kerry Ellis and Friends “at Cranleigh Arts Centre on the 26th of July (there are a few tickets remaining).
Secondly, we are once again sponsoring a scholarship for one lucky student to win a place on In2Drama’s Summer Academy – which has been the springboard for many a young aspiring performer! This summer they will also be launching a brand new original ‘film in a week’, integrated as part of this too. This is an amazing opportunity to learn from a seasoned Director and a range of specialist coaches. We will be sharing more details soon on how to enter.
Whilst you’re in the village enjoying all the culture on offer there are also some other exciting new additions to the High Street including Altitude Café and Cocktail Bar and the adjoining Peaks ice cream shop. And work continues on a new Thai restaurant set to open soon as well.
Throughout the year, the Surrey Hills Enterprise will continue to organise their artisan markets and with the Carnival and Car Show still to come, the summer looks set to be a vibrant one in Cranleigh this year.
